Onboarding walkthrough

The first time you open AgentRidge, a guided setup takes you from a fresh install to a ready-to-use Mission Control. Here's every step.

*Permissions is a macOS-only step.

Welcome

A short introduction: Autonomous pentesting. Frictionless. It explains that the Agent Ridge Principal orchestrates your engagements with Ridge Sub-Agents, giving you full Mission Control — workflows, tools, vulnerabilities, and reports. Click Set up to begin.

Compatibility

AgentRidge checks your machine — operating system and version, architecture, memory, and CPU — and shows each result as OK, a warning, or a blocking issue. You can Re-check after changing something. If nothing blocks, click Continue. Details: System requirements.

Permissions (macOS only)

On macOS, AgentRidge asks for two permissions so the agent can operate in the background:

  • Accessibility — automated control of agent workflows.
  • Full Disk Access — read/write for the runtime and mission artifacts.

Click Open System Settings, enable AgentRidge in both panes, return to the app, and click Check again. When both are granted, Continue. This step does not appear on Windows or Linux. See the macOS install guide.

Account

Create a free account or sign in. Your account tracks your entitlement — whether you're on the free trial or Pro — and is what the licensing checks use. Creating an account starts your free trial.

AI engine

AgentRidge provisions the reasoning engine that powers the Principal and its sub-agents. When it's ready you'll see an AI engine ready confirmation.

Plan

Choose how to continue: stay on the free trial (Auditor mode with a limited number of audits and a monthly chat quota), or upgrade to Pro to unlock Attacker mode, LAN discovery, detailed audits, and the full runtime. You can upgrade later, too. See Plans & licensing.

Runtime

The local runtime modules download and install, with live progress — current module, percentage, speed, and estimated time remaining. It's a one-time download that resumes if interrupted. Details: First launch.

Done

Setup is complete and you're taken into Mission Control. From here you can launch your first mission.
