Updating AgentRidge
AgentRidge keeps the application and the local runtime on separate update tracks, so a normal app update is small and quick.
Application updates
The desktop app updates itself. When a new version is available it is downloaded in the background and applied when you restart AgentRidge. These updates cover the Mission Control interface and the application logic — they are small and do not re-download the multi-gigabyte runtime.
Runtime updates
The local runtime (the reasoning engine and its modules) is downloaded once on first launch and then reused. It is not re-fetched for every app update. If a future runtime version is required, AgentRidge provisions only what has changed rather than starting from scratch.
Best practice
- Restart occasionally to pick up the latest application version.
- Keep your free disk headroom (about 25 GB on Pro) so runtime updates have room to stage.
- If an update seems stuck, see Troubleshooting.
