Install on macOS

AgentRidge ships for macOS as a DMG disk image, built for both Apple silicon (arm64) and Intel (x64) Macs. Minimum supported version: macOS 12 (Monterey).

1 · Download the DMG​

Download the macOS build from the AgentRidge website. Choose the image that matches your Mac:

  • Apple silicon (M-series) → the arm64 DMG
  • Intel → the x64 DMG

→ About This Mac. If it lists an Apple M-series chip, use arm64; if it lists an Intel processor, use x64.

2 · Install the app​

  1. Double-click the downloaded .dmg to open it.
  2. Drag the AgentRidge icon into your Applications folder.
  3. Eject the disk image.

3 · First open​

Launch AgentRidge from Applications (or Launchpad). On the very first launch, macOS may show a Gatekeeper prompt for a newly installed app.

  • If macOS says it can't verify the developer, open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll to the security notice for AgentRidge, and choose Open Anyway. Then relaunch the app.

4 · Grant permissions​

macOS asks AgentRidge to be granted two permissions during setup. These are requested once; after that the agent runs in the background without interrupting you.

The setup screen has an Open System Settings button that takes you straight to the right pane:

  1. Click Open System Settings on the Permissions step.
  2. In Privacy & Security → Accessibility, enable AgentRidge.
  3. In Privacy & Security → Full Disk Access, enable AgentRidge.
  4. Return to AgentRidge and click Check again. When both show a green check, continue.
macOS only

The permissions step appears only on macOS. Windows and Linux don't have this step (Windows uses an elevated installer instead — see the Windows guide).

5 · Finish setup​

The rest of setup — account, engine, and runtime download — is the same on every platform. Continue with First launch.

Uninstalling​

Quit AgentRidge, then move AgentRidge from Applications to the Trash. The app's local data (runtime and engagement data) lives in your user Library — see Data locations if you want to remove it too.
